American Integrity Insurance Sees Increase in Agent Satisfaction

American Integrity’s 2012 Agent Satisfaction study revealed that 44% of respondents were “very satisfied” with the company - a 20% increase over last year’s baseline study. Overall, 91% of respondents said they were either “very satisfied” or “satisfied” with the company. Robert Ritchie, CEO, commented that “we have to earn the trust of our agents every day – we will continue work hard to maintain such satisfaction.”

The company also scored well for service standards. While 86% of respondents feel that “responsiveness to questions or issues” is “very important,” 93% of respondents indicated they were “very satisfied” with American Integrity’s performance on this standard. “Our team works hard to ensure that calls are answered promptly, or returned quickly, or e-mails answered because we know how busy our agents are,” noted Ritchie.

The survey also included questions about social media usage by agents. Between Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, almost 50% of agents are using Facebook to promote their business with the other two sites garnering 23% and 11% respectively. Said Jenny Hodge, Vice President of Marketing, “These results allow us to focus our efforts where our agents are – be sure to “Like’ us on Facebook.” While the company actively monitors all three sites, the emphasis is on Facebook as an outcome of the survey results.

When asked if agents were experiencing difficulty placing business, many of the write-in comments reflect the pressures of a competitive and difficult property market citing more coverage for older homes, increased coastal capacity and a desire for lower premiums. “We must be responsible in our risk appetite and pricing discipline,” commented Ritchie. “We will always evaluate opportunities for new products but it is our conservative approach that has allowed us to be successful thus far,” he continued.
