Job Title: Territory Sales Manager
Department: Sales
Summary: Responsible for increasing sales and retention while maintaining a profitable loss ratio by developing and maintaining professional, solid relationships with Voluntary independent agency appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in establishing strategic plans to achieve company objectives

  • Works with all departments to develop annual sales, retention and loss ratio goals
  • Meets with territory agencies in building annual sales projections
  • Creates goals for agencies to enable them to reach their maximum potential for production, retention and reduce loss ratio

Executes sales, retention and loss ratio plans to achieve company objectives

  • Prospects new agency relationships
  • Grows existing relationships in the assigned territory through face-to-face visits, phone calls, email and other forms of communication
  • Strategically plans territory routes to maximize efforts to boost sales outcomes
  • Documents agency visits to provide:
    • Importance of agency goals
    • Discussion of new business, retention and loss ratio
      • Provides status, documentation and support
    • Updated information on top competitors within agency
    • Agency concerns and top reasons for using AIIC
  • Follows up on agency concerns

Delivers sales presentations to potential agencies and organizations

Assists with the appointment and training of new agencies

  • Follow-ups on paperwork and necessary documents
  • Provides sales literature and brochures
  • Detail explanation of products
  • Educate and instruct agency personnel
  • Benefits of service and competitive advantage
  • Inspires and develops rapport

Researches and develops potential growth markets

  • College degree and at least 4 years of personal lines insurance experience or a combination of education and experience

Field Adjuster | Claims Department
Reports To: Claims Director

Job Summary
The Field Adjuster is responsible for investigating claims in the field that are reported on our policies to determine coverage and extent of damage in an attempt to reach an appropriate settlement in accordance with statutory requirements and policy provisions.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Confirms coverage and identifies/resolves coverage issues. Contacts insured same day as claim is assigned.
  • Conducts proper investigations and procures supporting reports utilizing vendors appropriately. Continually evaluates vendor performance. Identifies and recommends subrogation opportunities.
  • Reviews and processes correspondence and takes appropriate action. Maintains up-to-date claim file diary.
  • Completes assigned claims promptly with full required documentation. Processes payment and/or denial based on policy coverage.
  • Assesses exposure and sets proper reserves. Notifies management of large losses in promptly.
  • Communicates with customers, agents, and other partners verbally and in writing in a professional manner. Represent the company as the technical claim expert for our insureds, agents, and vendors.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation on all claim files and processes claims in a timely manner.
  • Meets company service standards and effectively uses the diary system to remain current.
  • May support special projects, as assigned, within the established time and quality guidelines.
  • Maintains expert claim status through continuing education, seminars, research, and suit representation. Evaluate defense counsel and all vendors on a continual basis.

Claims Examiner | Claims Department
MUST have 5+ years experience in property insurance, including sinkholes, molds, fires, etc. Must be proficient in Xactimate and hold State of Florida All-Lines License (05-20). Bi-lingual a plus.

Litigation Manager
Job Summary
Provide high-quality legal counsel and advice to the Claims Department and other units relative to matters involving claim and litigation management, insurance coverage, and various company initiatives. General advice subjects to include Risk Management discussions with Underwriting and consultation on legislative initiatives.

Responsibilities
Provide dedicated legal support for Florida Personal Lines and Commercial Claims operations, including Property, Litigation, Special Investigations, and Subrogation. Provide counsel and training to Claims partners regarding coverage questions, legal questions, litigation management, good faith claims handling and changes in the law. Assist Claims Department personnel to better and more cost-effectively manage active claims and, where necessary or appropriate, avoid and/or manage litigation. Work closely with non-Claims partners on analysis of existing coverages and policy forms and development and drafting of new coverages and forms. Furnish legal advice and opinions on issues involving additional insured status and contractual indemnification. Recommend the most appropriate legal strategy to resolve suits involving coverage and extra-contractual demands, as well as defense of insureds. Attend motions, hearings, depositions and trials as may be necessary. Prepare and present workshops, seminars and other sessions on issues of coverage analysis, claim handling, litigation handling, and developments in the law and other matters as they may arise. Manage the company's response to records subpoenas to ensure compliance with court rules while protecting confidential, privileged and other sensitive materials as appropriate. Help devise, maintain and apply metrics to assess the effectiveness, cost savings and other performance of Claims legal and other personnel. Recognize and report potential corporate contingent exposures. Monitor preferred counsel firms to ensure competent representation and proper billing. Supervise complex files/cases as assigned including initial in-take of file, conducting initial client interview and reviewing existing information summations, reports, and statements. Draft changes to the product forms to accomplish strategic objectives and to respond to case law, legislative, and regulatory changes. Provide recommendations for handling of corporate exposures, regulatory risks, market conduct examinations, and public policy and communications strategies.
