Open Letter to customers affected by the June Take Out Notification

You recently received a letter from the Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) indicating that there has been a change to American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida’s acquisition of your Citizen’s policy this month. American Integrity, working in conjunction with the OIR, mutually agreed to forgo the June 2008 takeout so that we would be in a position to consider takeout approval later this year. We apologize for any confusion this has caused.

So, what should you do now? We recommend that you discuss your options with your agent and we hope to be a part of your homeowners insurance plan in the future.

American Integrity was formed in late 2006 for the express purpose of contributing capacity to the Florida homeowners marketplace. We have delivered on that promise by successfully assuming over 122,000 polices from Citizens. During this time, we have increased our surplus from $5 million to over $25 million. This success would not have been possible without the support of your agent. With a newly placed and solid reinsurance program in place for the 2008 wind season, we are in an excellent position to protect and grow policyholder surplus.
